Gulf War Revelations

Registered nurse Joyce Riley served as a Captain in the USAF in support of Operation Desert Storm, flying active-duty missions aboard a C-130 aircraft. Her experience as a medical-legal testifying expert in medical malpractice trials gave her the background to investigate the truth about Gulf War Illness, which she believes was covered up by the U.S. military and government. In this program, she presented compelling evidence that artificial substances used in the Gulf War were directly affecting veterans and their families, particularly biological agents. "This is the disease that can affect all people, not just the Gulf War Veterans," she declared.

Riley documented the history of the chemical weapons, originally sold by the U.S. to Saddam Hussein during Iran's war with Iraq, from 1983 through 1990. She contended that during the Gulf War, Iran used these weapons (as well as biological agents) on U.S. troops. Riley went on to describe her personal experience with a mysterious disease "similar to multiple sclerosis" that she believes she contracted during military service. She traced records of private company sales of chemical and biological weapons to foreign nations and bad actors. Riley said that the mysterious maladies were continuing as of the date of this program.

She also asserted that "we are talking about a global problem" as indigenous populations and others who have been exposed show evidence of the same symptoms. She revealed that the Veterans Administration was simply prescribing drugs like Prozac for PTSD and Motrin for severe pain without treating the underlying diseases and trauma. In the latter half of the program, Riley answered listener comments and questions, with a number of veterans or relatives of veterans calling in.
