Remote viewer Major Ed Dames predicted a series of global disasters and discussed methods used in remote viewing. Reflecting on his service in the U.S. Army's remote viewing unit, he explained how the team was trained to gather broad information on targets by entering a calm, open state of mind and allowing subconscious impressions to surface. He also highlighted recent projects with the team he was currently working with, which ranged from searching for missing pets to locating stolen nuclear weapons.

Dames elaborated on the threat of poison gas, expressing concerns that America's adversaries possessed such weapons. He predicted that North Korea would soon use a missile-mounted nuclear weapon against South Korea. During this period, Dames was preparing to leave Los Angeles to launch "Project Starman," a mission aimed at both contacting extraterrestrial life and researching post-catastrophe reconstruction.

Dames warned that 1998 would be a year of turmoil with worldwide consequences, forecasting a bovine flu pandemic affecting humans, a global economic collapse, and a major solar event he called "the kill shot." He described these overlapping crises as a "global discontinuity." The first hour of the program was devoted to news and Open Lines.
