A couple in Texas got quite the laugh when they looked at footage from their doorbell camera and noticed that a glitch in the system created a scene resembling some kind of alien abduction. The weird sight was reportedly recorded at a home in the community of Porter late last month and popped up online this past weekend.
In the video, a man can be seen exiting the house and venturing down the front walk, when something very weird occurs. As he stands at the end of the path, he suddenly appears to transform into a ball of light that zips into the sky and disappears. In sharing the video online, the homeowner said that his fiancee joked that the doorbell camera "had you abducted by aliens" or maybe taken in the rapture.
The odd footage is an excellent reminder that doorbell cameras aren't infallible and often that eerie 'ghost' or unsettling 'alien abduction' caught by these increasingly popular home security systems can be chalked up to proverbial technical difficulties. That is, of course, assuming that the man really wasn't taken away by ETs and just doesn't remember it.
