Anomaly Hunter Suspects China's Chang'e 4 Moon Mission is a Hoax

While China's successful landing of a craft of the far side of the moon is still being celebrated by space enthusiasts, an anomaly hunter has spotted something which makes him suspect that the historic achievement was really a hoax. Indefatigable UFO researcher Scott C. Waring was studying images posted online by the Chinese National Space Administration when he noticed a peculiar detail in one of the photos. Seemingly sitting in front of the Yutu-2 Rover, which was deployed by the Chang'e 4 lander, is what appears to be a white line.

This oddity, Waring argues, is a strong indication that the scene did not take place on the 'dark side' of the moon at all and, in fact, was fabricated here on Earth. "This screams staged event altogether," he declared, theorizing that the line must have been meant to serve as a marker for where workers were instructed to place a prop of the rover in the photo. Waring points to the lack of any other lines in the photo as well as what seems to be a scarcity of moon rocks as clues that his hypothesis has merit.

To his credit, he expressed profound dismay at making this discovery, lamenting that "this is not what I wanted to find in this photo" and musing that "I sure hope that I'm proven wrong on this one." Fortunately for Waring, scientists are not quite sold on the conspiracy theory and have offered an explanation for the strange details he uncovered in the images. The line, they say, is probably just a reflection emanating off of the rover and the lack of rocks is actually intentional as the craft was purposely landed on a smooth surface to ensure its safe arrival on the moon.
