Bigfoot Flap Unfolding in Ohio?

By Tim Binnall

Bigfoot enthusiasts are buzzing over a series of suspected Sasquatch sightings said to have occurred in Ohio over the last few days. Researcher Jeremiah Byron, of the podcast Bigfoot Society, brought the possible flap to light after receiving accounts from two separate witnesses claiming to have seen a large, hairy figure in the community of Mantua Center on March 6th and then again the following day. To his surprise, those reports were followed by a trio of suspected Sasquatch sightings on March 9th in the same Ohio county. Byron has since collected two more cases from area residents who believe they may have seen the legendary creature this past week.

While the size of the figure and the circumstances of the sightings have varied, the podcaster told a local TV station that the reports follow the same pattern. "It's a hair-covered creature," Byron explained, "it’s on two legs, not walking like a bear but like a human would." Of course, making the situation particularly curious is the sheer number of accounts that have come to light over the past week. "It's normal for there to be Bigfoot sightings all over the United States," he mused, "but it's not normal to have multiple sightings in a small area within a short number of days."

As for what may be happening in northeast Ohio at the moment, Byron noted that the reports appear to be moving in a southeastern direction (see map below), suggesting that the cryptid may be traveling along a migratory corridor. That said, despite there being a staggering seven suspected Sasquatch sightings in the area this past week, not a single witness has managed to photograph or film the creature nor report their encounter to law enforcement, causing understandable skepticism from some observers who find the multiple evidence-proof accounts over just a few days to be rather unfathomable.
