In a surprisingly captivating video, a jawbreaker candy reveals an incredible array of colors as it melts from the intense heat of a blowtorch.
The presentation, created by the YouTube channel Let's Melt This, sees the popular treat subjected to a blistering 1900-degree Fahrenheit onslaught from the welding tool.
Known for its everlasting nature, the jawbreaker proved to be no match for the extreme heat, melting down to liquid in a little under four minutes (which the video creators sped up for viewers).
During the metamorphosis, rings of color come peeling off of the candy and create an almost hypnotic effect for viewers.
The video is part of a burgeoning genre of YouTube video where creators find innovative ways to destroy common and sometimes obscure household items.
While one might scoff at such an endeavor, the melting jawbreaker video serves as a testament to the idea that breathtaking artistry can be created using truly unorthodox means.
