British Cops on the Hunt for 'Skeleton Thief'

By Tim Binnall

British police are on the hunt for a sticky-fingered ne'er-do-well who committed his misdeeds while clad in a skeleton costume. According to a local media report, the not-quite-super villain stole cash and a credit card from a car in the community of Huddersfield late last month. What made cops take notice of the thief was his unusual choice of attire: a full-body skeleton costume complete with a nightmarish skull mask.

In a somewhat commendable commitment to his criminal alter ego, authorities say, a gas station security camera later filmed the 'Skeleton Thief' using the stolen credit card while still wearing his eye-catching disguise, including the creepy face covering. Hoping to bring the audacious reprobate to justice, cops but out a bulletin featuring photos of the curious-looking crook and calling upon the public for any information about "someone known to wear such a costume." Time will tell whether or not the break-in was an odd one-off event or if it turns out to have been the would-be evildoer's origin story.
