British Cops Respond to Report of 'Mass Murder' That Turned Out to be Yoga Class

A bevy of cops swarmed a building in Britain after they received a call from concerned residents who mistook a yoga class at the site for the scene of a mass murder. The bizarre incident reportedly began last Wednesday evening as instructor Millie Laws was winding down her session at the Seascape Cafe in the community of Chapel St Leonards. The last half hour of the class saw her seven students adopt a 'corpse pose' wherein they remained perfectly still on the floor while she walked around the candlelit room beating a shamanic drum. Although the moment was undoubtedly relaxing for the participants, it had the opposite effect on a pair of people who caught sight of the scene and thought that they had stumbled upon some kind of ritual that had gone terribly awry.

"A couple with some dogs just came up to the window and were having a look in," Laws recalled, "but they walked off really quickly and I didn't think anything of it." Around thirty minutes later, after the class had left the building, five police cars pulled up to the cafe with their sirens blazing. Laws later learned that the couple had actually alerted authorities to what they suspected was a ritualistic massacre as they could find no other explanation for the seven lifeless bodies on the floor and the instructor walking around the dimly lit room wearing what appeared to be a long robe. Calling the situation "a bit surreal and funny," Laws expressed sympathy for the shaken couple, though mused that "at the same time you've got to see the lighter side of it."
