UFOs remained as mystifying as ever this past year, defying government and scientific efforts to determine their nature while appearing in the skies over our planet with remarkable frequency. 2023 comes to a close with the prospect of UFO disclosure appearing to be tantalizingly close yet also still maddeningly out of reach, though many are hopeful that 2024 will be the year that the secrecy and uncertainty surrounding the phenomenon finally comes to an end.
To that end, over the last twelve months, all manner of unusual aerial objects were observed by astounded witnesses or captured on film by the many different cameras that have become a part of our daily lives. These incidents ranged from balls of light behaving inexplicably to oddly-shaped objects that in some instances were almost unfathomable. With that in mind, here are C2C's strangest UFO sightings of 2023:
- Perhaps the most fantastic UFO footage of the past year came by way of a passenger aboard a plane flying over Colombia and featured a remarkably clear metallic looking object zip past the airliner.
- A crocodile hunter in Australia could not believe his eyes when he saw and subsequently filmed several pulsating blue orbs that inexplicably appeared over his home.
- Captured by a game camera in Canada, a puzzling piece of footage showed a weird set of glowing lights silently floating over a raccoon that took no notice of the oddity over its head.
- A security camera in Mexico filmed a strange UFO that streaked through the night sky in a rather erratic fashion and briefly stopped to allow a glimpse of what appeared to be a cylindrical object.
- Suggesting that perhaps otherworldly visitors might have an interest in Royal affairs, an acorn-shaped oddity was photographed flying through the sky during the coronation festivities of King Charles III.
- A backyard security camera in California captured footage of a truly bizarre blob-like object that bounded across the night sky.
- One of the more curious objects seen this past year was a cube-shaped UFO that was filmed by a bewildered witness in Texas.
- A particularly compelling sighting from this past year occurred in Michigan, where multiple witnesses reported seeing military jets engage in a lengthy "dogfight" with what appeared to be a white/metallic disc.
- Witnesses in Santa Monica were left scratching their heads when they spotted a star-shaped UFO hovering in the sky over a park.
- A classic black triangle UFO baffled witnesses when it appeared gliding through the sky over a city in Germany.
- Sparking speculation that it was a sign we live in a simulation, a peculiar illumination resembling a buffering symbol was filmed in New York.
- A spectacular piece of webcam footage from Mexico featured an unidentified object seemingly flying into a volcano moments before it unleashed a massive eruption.
