Cardboard Cutout of MyPillow Creator Prompts Confused Call to the Cops

By Tim Binnall

A police department in Minnesota got quite the chuckle last week thanks to a rather amusing mix-up involving a cardboard cut out of MyPillow creator Mike Lindell. The weird incident took place last Thursday in the city of Jordan when a resident called the cops with concerns about a man who was seen standing motionless near a home while inexplicably clutching a pillow. This was particularly worrisome to the witness because the mysterious stranger was not wearing a coat in the frigid weather.

When officers responded to the call, they quickly discovered that the proverbial person of interest was, in fact, just a cardboard cutout of Mike Lindell, who famously invented the wildly popular MyPillow. The police department subsequently shared the story of the strange call on their Facebook page. Noting that such cutouts "sure can look real from a distance," they credited the resident with reporting their sighting to the police rather than confronting what they perceived to be a "deranged person standing outside in the cold hugging a pillow." For his part, Lindell had a good sense of humor about the odd event, sharing the Jordan Police Department's post on his Facebook page with the caption "unreal!"
