Residents of a town in England are on edge due to a pair of creepy clowns that have been causing a ruckus throughout the community. According to a local media report, the curious case began this past Sunday when a woman in the village of Ash spotted the haunting harlequins lingering outside of a store. Witness Claire Gilmore indicated that the two troublesome teenagers were wearing clown masks that left her daughter "petrified" as the disguises boasted sharp-looking teeth. 'It would be quite scary for an elderly person too," the concerned mom observed as she detailed the sighting on social media. Shortly thereafter, other residents chimed in with their own unsettling encounters with the clowns.
"They were hanging around at the end of my drive," wrote another person from the village, "I went out to put the bin out, spoke to them and they just stared. Next door said they had knocked on their door and ran off." The misguided 'prank' was also reported by another irritated resident who complained that "an idiot is walking around, banging on doors with a clown mask on. He stood at the bottom of my front garden, trying to look scary." Police in the community say that they "have been made aware" of the situation, which may put an end to the harlequins' reign of terror as they likely do not want to wind up in trouble with the law just days before Christmas.
