A Florida woman arrested for alleged drug possession tried and failed to convince police that the illicit substances in her purse were magical healing crystals. The bizarre bust reportedly occurred earlier this month when Florida Highway Patrol pulled over a suspicious car in the community of Cottage Hill. During a search of the vehicle, officers uncovered a purse belonging to passenger Haley Victoria McLemore and containing a used glass pipe along with "a small baggie of a crystal substance."
Initially denying any knowledge of the material, when pressed about it being in her purse, the woman came up with what one imagines she thought was a rather clever explanation. According to police, McLemore assured officers that the substances were actually healing crystals that played a pivotal role in her witchcraft rituals. Alas, a field test on the 'magical rocks' quickly revealed their true nature: methamphetamine. The would-be witch was subsequently arrested and charged with felony drug possession.
