A party in Paraguay took a wondrous turn when one attendee snapped a photo of what appeared to be a flying saucer hovering in the sky. According to a local media report, the intriguing image (seen below) was captured this past Saturday at a celebration for the local football team in the community of Capiatá. As a storm approached during the gathering, a woman at the party took a picture of the dark clouds moving across the otherwise clear sky and, upon reviewing the photo, noticed something rather unusual: a disc-shaped anomaly. As one might imagine, the strange flying saucer seen in the image quickly became the talk of the party, with many speculating what it could have been.
Sharing the photo with a Paraguayan media outlet, journalist Julio Jara insisted that the picture was not a clever hoax, explaining that "the lady is retired, her husband is retired military, they are very important people here in the city." Since being published, the image has understandably caused a stir on social media in Paraguay, with various theories being offered for what appeared in the sky on Saturday afternoon. While some have suggested it was an otherworldly craft, others have argued it could have been a trick of light and shadow or simply an odd digital error. What do you make of the picture?
