A Ghanaian man has come forward with an odd account of stumbling upon what he believes was a ghost cooking food in a forest, before the suspected spirit was joined by several other seemingly supernatural companions. According to a local media report, the eerie incident occurred when witness Kofi Owusu ventured into the woods for a late-night hunt. To his surprise, soon after entering the forest, he spotted a seemingly out of place woman who was cooking the traditional Ghanaian dish known as ampesi.
Understandably bewildered by what he was seeing, Owusu turned off his flashlight and ducked behind a tree before the suspected spirit could see him. "I decided to hide and watch what was happening," the hunter recalled, "I waited until other ghosts appeared and surrounded the cooked food." After observing the group consume the meal, Owusu "left the scene" with the spirits presumably none the wiser to his presence. "They say the world isn't strange," the hunter mused, "but the world is really strange."
