A spooky photo snapped at a purportedly haunted castle in Vermont shows an eerie anomaly that may be one of the site's resident spirits. Built in 1885, Wilson Castle in the community of Proctor has become a popular destination for ghost hunting groups in recent years following numerous reports of paranormal activity at the location. Earlier this week, the site's Facebook page shared a chilling image (seen below) from "an investigation last summer" that will undoubtedly bolster the site's haunted reputation.
They explained that, during the event, "a guest named Amy" first "snapped a photo of the black mourning dress that many say has potential paranormal activity associated with it." Continuing with her tour of the site, she subsequently ventured into what is known as the servants' bedroom, where she took a picture of a dresser adorned with a mirror. To her profound surprise, when Amy later looked at her photos from her visit, she was stunned to see a figure in the mirror's reflection.
Making the picture particularly compelling, they noted, is that Amy sports blonde hair and was "wearing a white sweatshirt and jeans" when the picture was taken. As such, they posited that the ghost hunter may have been followed into the room by "the infamous roaming lady in black." To that end, one cannot help but note the uncanny resemblance between the mourning dress and the attire seemingly worn by the figure in the reflection.
