Guyanese Man Claims 'Monster' Killed His Dog

A Guyanese man claims that his dog fell victim to a mysterious monster that slayed the animal before his very eyes. The peculiar incident reportedly occurred on Saturday evening as Stephen Dunbar Amsterdam was out walking with the pet pooch which, until then, had served as a constant companion. As they strolled along that night, the pair were suddenly confronted by what he later called a "big black monster" that seemed to be intent on attacking the duo. Proving once again that dogs are truly man's best friend, Amsterdam says that his pet put itself between him and the predator and, sadly, perished in the process. Strangely, despite standing right next to the gruesome scene as it unfolded, the animal's owner was unable to say what exactly was behind the attack.

"I am not sure if it was a black panther, Kanaima or an evil spirit," Amsterdam recalled, "but I am thankful to God and my dog for saving my life." After he shared the story on social media, several individuals echoed his suggestion that the perpetrator of the attack could have been something supernatural with many asserting that the area where the deadly encounter happened is home to a werewolf or a similar "evil spirit." To that end, they also argued that if Amsterdam's dog had been killed by a black panther, then it would have left with the downed animal, which was not the case in this instance and, as such, they posit that a paranormal explanation for the event is not outside the realm of possibility.
