A mountain lion hunter in South Dakota reported hearing a series of strange sounds that some suspect could have come from Sasquatch. The intriguing incident, which occurred last March in the state's Custer County, came to light this past week when his account of the eerie event was shared by the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization. According to the witness, he had been attempting to draw out a mountain lion using a call that resembled a distressed fawn when, after around two hours, he heard "two different style of knocks behind me."
In addition to the classic wood knock associated with Bigfoot, the hunter recalled hearing a clucking sound that one might make with their tongue. Chillingly, the witness said, that noise continued for around 15 minutes before he suddenly "heard the weirdest, deepest language that I've ever heard before," later likening the sound to a guttural mumbling. The noise was so unusual that he "jumped up and ran out into the open and waited" to observe what was behind the baffling sounds, but "I never did see anything." While the hunter is not entirely certain of what he heard, the incident was unsettling enough that he has refused to return to the spot where the weird incident occurred.
