A camping trip over Memorial Day weekend turned harrowing for a group of Idaho teenagers who say that a Sasquatch stalked them during their trip. The chilling experience, shared with the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, occurred last month when the ten high school students traveled to the woods near the state's Lost Valley Reservoir. Witness Kyera Tipper, who reported the incident, indicated that the weirdness began when she was looking for one of her friends who had wandered off into the forest. While searching, she recalled, "it sounded like something was walking with me in the tree line and whistling at me in different directions to get me lost."
Upon returning to camp, Tipper largely forgot about the strangeness in the woods until more peculiar moments began to unfold. Specifically, at around 3 AM, another of her friends said she heard "really aggressive and rhythmic knocking." Later that day, one of the teenage boys spotted a figure that "looked about nine feet tall with blank reflective eyes and was walking towards him." Understandably unsettled by the sighting but commendably protective of the group, the young man grabbed a gun and went into the woods with two other campers in search of the mysterious stranger.
When they reached a second camp being used by the teens, the three young men who went into the forest looking for the figure revealed that they stumbled upon "three creatures that stood nine feet tall with dark fur and standing on two legs with blank reflective eyes." The trio of witnesses described the bipedal creatures as being "human-looking," but too tall and fast to be a person. Eerily, Tipper noted, "they stated the creatures knew how to hide behind the trees and were circling them and trying to separate them from each other. One of the teens also claimed to have shot one of the suspected Sasquatches before firing off five warning shots to keep them at bay.
Later that night, the group heard similar knocking sounds and, the next morning, found inexplicable handprints on one of their cars. When they went to the other camp to investigate the area during daylight hours, they found an unnerving scene featuring "trees broken and put together as sideways crosses all in a wide circle" around where the teens had been sleeping the previous night. Lest the teens had any doubt about their experience over the weekend, Tipper called her mother about the curious events that had unfolded while they were camping, and "she immediately stated it was a Sasquatch as there were many sightings reported around there."
