In Coast You Missed It 10/26/18

This past week on Coast to Coast AM, we learned about the mysterious nature of Franklin D. Roosevelt's passing as well as paranormal hotspots and odd ghost sightings. Plus another edition of our Secret Door Special welcomed back a trio of popular Coast guests. Meanwhile, here at the C2C website, we marveled at a rectangular iceberg, scratched our heads over a weird trail cam image which may show Bigfoot, and were bewildered by puzzling snow formations found in Argentina. Check out our round-up of C2C highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Spooky stories took center stage on Tuesday night's program as writer Mack Maloney detailed his research into strange places and eerie accounts of odd ghost sightings. One of the more baffling tales he recounted during his appearance was that of a Formula One jet performing strange maneuvers near an airport in California. Eagle-eyed witnesses were able to write down the tail number of the plane and, amazingly, it was discovered that the jet belonged to a former astronaut who had actually died earlier that day.

One of the more intriguing images we've seen in quite a while popped up this past week thanks to a hunter who spotted something odd in a photo captured by his trail cam. The image appears to show a tall, bipedal creature with glowing eyes lurking just a few feet away from the unknowing man. Observers online were quick to suggest that the anomaly bore a striking resemblance to Sasquatch, but that wasn't the only theory bandied about as others argued that it could be a ghost!

Mysterious and suspicious elements surrounding the passing of president Franklin D. Roosevelt were explored by author and researcher Steve Ubaney during this past Saturday night's edition of C2C. He noted that FDR made many enemies among the wealthy elite due to his legislation and that communist dictator Joseph Stalin also may have wished for his demise. To that end, Ubaney pointed to how FDR frequently fell ill while at the White House, but recovered when he was away, suggesting that the president was "being slowly poisoned."

The majesty of Mother Nature was on full display this week via some amazing stories from across the globe. First, there was a jaw-dropping NASA photo of a rectangular-shaped iceberg in Antarctica that went viral and captured the imagination of people online. Meanwhile, a video out of Canada showed heavy winds whipping through a forest and creating an optical illusion where the ground appeared to breathe. And then there was a Hawaiian island that was literally wiped off the map after a powerful hurricane passed over it.

This past Wednesday's program featured a cavalcade of Coast favorites by way of another Secret Door Special. This installment included legendary UFO researcher Stanton Friedman, who talked about the Betty and Barney Hill abduction case. He was followed by exorcist and researcher Bill Bean, who mused about the Mandela Effect and a possible demonic agenda influencing world events. And, finally, author Karen A. Dahlman appeared in the final hour to provide an update on her work with the Ouija Board.

Perhaps the most puzzling story of the week centered around a pair of odd formations found in the snow by a man in Argentina. The bewildering designs conjured comparisons to crop circles as one was spherical and the other had a rather intricate star-shaped pattern. While we're uncertain as to what may have created the formations, the witness who photographed the anomalies offered his own theory: UFOs.
