Giants, the afterlife, and encounters with Bigfoot were among the fascinating topics explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. Meanwhile, here at the C2C site, we told you about a possible goblin sighting in Argentina, a pair of misbehaving robots, and an intriguing UFO sighting in New York City. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Giants were a hot topic of conversation this past week on Coast to Coast AM, with two programs exploring the possibility that oversized humans once roamed the earth. First, on Sunday night's program, investigative journalist Kristan T. Harris discussed intriguing late-19th and early-20th-century newspaper accounts of enormous skeletons being discovered in various parts of America before seemingly being spirited away by institutions like the Smithsonian. Then, on Monday night's show, researcher F.K. Sterling talked about how tales of ancient giants factor into the folklore, religions, and traditions of cultures across the world.

A trio of intriguing UFO sightings from around the world popped up on our radar this past week. In New York City, a bewildered witness captured footage of three glowing orbs that erratically maneuvered around in the night sky. Meanwhile, in Portugal, a group of young people was left scratching their heads when they spotted a puzzling UFO that appeared to sport what were described as "membranous wings" akin to those of a flying insect. Finally, an airline passenger flying over the Popocatépetl volcano in Mexico filmed several balls of light floating around the location that, due to a plethora of odd activity in the past, many UFO enthusiasts believe is a secret alien base.

Encounters with Bigfoot and other cryptids took center stage on Saturday night's program as Darrell Denton detailed his experiences with bipedal beasts and beings. He traced his fascination with such creatures to a 1992 incident wherein, while deer hunting in a tree stand, he was menaced by a monstrous entity that he later came to believe was Sasquatch. Denton contrasted that terrifying incident with a subsequent relationship he developed with similar, but more friendly, forest-dwelling Bigfoot-like beings. During his appearance, he also delved into Dogman, sharing reports of encounters with the creature and musing on why he believes the cryptid is wholly different from Sasquatch.

Two particularly weird stories from Argentina made the news this past week, beginning with an eerie video of a small figure standing on a sidewalk as a massive downpour swept over a city. The diminutive stranger's inexplicable exposure in the storm led many viewers online to speculate that it was a goblin or some other kind of elemental being that manifested in the rain. Later in the week, a homeowner shared the harrowing story of seeing a monstrous creature, which he now believes was a chupacabra, appear in his backyard in the middle of the night. When he ventured outside in the morning, the man was heartbroken to discover that something had killed his cat by draining the unfortunate feline of its blood.

The afterlife was explored from two different angles this past week on Coast to Coast AM, beginning with Tuesday night's program, wherein scholar Tobias Churton reflected on the human fascination with the concept of heaven. Noting that ruminations on the idea stretch across civilizations and epochs, he observed that nearly every culture conceived of a two-tier afterlife with the proverbial 'good place' being located above us. Then, on Wednesday night's show, near-death studies researcher Dr. Raymond Moody talked about his pioneering work studying the experiences of those who may have glimpsed the afterlife and returned to share their stories.

Suggesting that the long-feared robot uprising may be coming sooner than one might think, this past week featured a pair of stories centered around misbehaving androids. First, in China, police 'arrested' a humanoid automaton after it inadvertently frightened an elderly woman by ominously lingering behind her as she stopped while walking along a sidewalk. An amusing video of the incident showed the woman berating the robot before it was led away by cops who intervened in the odd situation. Meanwhile, the staff at a Chinese restaurant in California were forced to wrangle one of their dancing robots after it suddenly began smashing a table and sending silverware and food flying.
