This past week on Coast to Coast AM, we learned about the latest happenings in the world of UFO research, the life and times of Nikola Tesla, and spirits who, for a variety of reasons, can't seem to fully cross over to the hereafter. And, at the C2C website, Bigfoot popped up in a pair of intriguing stories while the case of the controversial 'hidden' King Tut chambers was apparently solved, and we were also left to wonder why someone stole 37 garden gnomes in Scotland. The mysterious realm between the living world and the afterlife was explored on a pair of programs this past week, beginning with near-death experiencer Rick Wagner on Saturday's program talking about his work communicating with spirits who have yet to realize that they are dead and how he helps them finish the journey to the 'other side.' On a similar note, Monday's program featured dowser Dan Baldwin, psychic Rhonda Hull, and paranormal researcher Dwight Hull discussing their experiences with ghosts of the Old Southwest, and included an incredible story of how the spirit of a murder victim actually helped his own killer cross over when he later passed away.
With spring in full bloom and summer right around the corner, it should come as no surprise that our old friend Bigfoot has begun to stir once again with two separate sightings of the creature making news this past week. Generating the most headlines, due to its somewhat odd setting, was a Bigfoot encounter that reportedly took place in the infamous Pine Barrens of New Jersey. While the witnesses did not capture any visual evidence from their experience, a young man in Michigan very well may have when he filmed himself on his ATV and seemingly caught sight of Sasquatch lurking in the background.
On Wednesday night's program, photojournalist Tim Swartz shared remarkable insights from his research into the life and work of Nikola Tesla. In addition to how the famed inventor wanted to provide wireless electricity to the world and tried to develop a particle beam weapon, of sorts, Swartz also recounted a rather intriguing story about a Tesla experiment involving a rotating magnetic field. According to him, this may have been some kind of time travel device as Tesla reportedly remarked, during one test of the technology, that he could "see the past, present, and future at the same time."
The Coast to Coast AM odd blotter was rife with weird crimes and curious capers this past week, beginning with a strange story out of Scotland where some yet-to-be-caught ne'er-do-well stole 37 garden gnomes from the yard of an elderly woman. Not so lucky was a would-be corn thief in Tanzania who was jinxed by the person he robbed and wound up with the massive sack of maize stuck to his head until he confessed to the heist. And Canadian officials were tasked with yet another macabre case of a dismembered foot washing ashore in British Columbia, making it the 14th such gruesome discovery in the area over the last decade.
Of all the various topics in the world of the paranormal, it would seem that UFOs may be the hottest of them all at the moment, thanks to the Pentagon UFO program revelations and what appears to be a changing public perception about the phenomenon. Former UFO investigator for the UK Ministry of Defense, Nick Pope detailed various government programs which have looked at the phenomenon in the past, and speculated about where things may be headed next, including possible Congressional hearings and the scientific search for ET signals.
Finally, this week saw a story which we'd been following for the last few years here at the Coast to Coast AM website come to a close as it was revealed that a new scan of King Tut's tomb found no hidden chambers. This development was disappointing, to say the least, after officials in Egypt had previously touted the purported lost rooms as being "full of treasures" and teased that the discoveries inside would be heralded as the "discovery of the 21st century." Alas, it was not to be and the newfound-chambers turned out to be even more of a disappointment than Al Capone's vault as they apparently didn't even exist in the first place.
