Biological earthquake forecasting, communicating with the 'other side,' and UFOs in the Bible were among the fascinating realms explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. And, here at the C2C website, we told you about a hunt for a legendary Japanese cryptid, bundles of mysterious cash found in Ohio bathrooms, and what might have been a goblin filmed by a security camera in Mexico. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.
The potential connection between UFOs and the heavenly realm was explored this past week on a pair of Coast to Coast AM programs. First, on Saturday night's program, systems analyst Ken Goudsward talked about what he believes to be UFO stories that are hidden in the Bible. He argued that by removing the religious interpretation of these tales, it becomes apparent that they are about the phenomenon. Then, on Wednesday night's program, author Nathaniel Gillis posited that the beings believed to be extraterrestrial visitors associated with UFOs may actually be demons in disguise and that they are trying to incarnate on our planet by way of various implants.
Two tales involving mysterious money wound up making news this past week, starting with a weird story from Ohio wherein nearly $40,000 in bundled bills was found hidden in the bathrooms of two restaurants. Cops in the city of Marysville, where the case occurred, are understandably bewildered as to why someone would stash so much cash in such puzzling spots and why the individual in question has yet to step forward to claim the curious 'treasure.' Meanwhile, a relatively small remnant of a $20 bill from the ransom money at the center of the D.B. Cooper skyjacking case sold for a whopping ten times its expected value at a recent auction.
Can the human body anticipate earthquakes? While such a fantastic scenario may sound unfathomable, on Sunday night's program, Charlotte King detailed her incredible ability to seemingly predict these events in just such a manner. The subject of several scientific studies, she explained that symptoms such as shoulder pain suddenly appear and grow in intensity until an earthquake occurs. King also recounted how she hears sounds that, she has determined, correspond to specific places around the world, which helps her develop a more accurate prediction of forthcoming quakes. Her uncanny skill is believed to be connected to her documented ability to hear extremely low frequencies related to the Earth's electromagnetic field.
A pair of odd stories out of Japan popped up in the news this past week, beginning with a search for a legendary cryptid known as the tsuchinoko. The annual monster hunt, which featured a staggering 800 participants, was held in the town of Higashishirakawa, where there have long been sightings of the curious creature said to resemble a snake with a beer bottle-sized bulge at the center of its body. Later in the week, the community of Fujikawaguchiko made headlines by way of an audacious plan to build a massive screen to block neighboring Mount Fuji after residents grew fed up with tourists flocking to the town to take pictures of the volcano, which is perfectly situated for selfies.
Spirit communication took center stage on Monday night's program as legendary medium James Van Praagh returned to the show to share insights on the 'other side.' Interestingly, he revealed that those who pass over can initially feel disoriented by no longer being confined to a physical body, though mused that the afterlife realm is our true 'home' as compared to the brief time we inhabit the Earthly plane. Praagh also indicated that when one journeys to the 'other side,' they are met by already departed loved ones and then experience a life review, wherein they assess how they fared when it came to learning specific life lessons that had been the purpose of that particular soul incarnation.
Easily the weirdest story of the week came by way of Mexico, where a security camera captured footage of a seemingly bipedal creature that had drawn comparisons to a goblin. In the wondrous video, which was filmed on a farm near the city of Monterrey, what appears to be a diminutive dark figure emerges from the woods, scurries across a road, and then vanishes in the brush. The manner in which the creature moved and its indecipherable appearance led many to suggest that a goblin or some other kind of supernatural being, though more skeptical observers argued that the 'being' was a prosaic animal such as a small skunk.
