In Coast You Missed It 6/5/26

The mysterious death of Marilyn Monroe, crop circles, and mediumship were among the fascinating topics explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. Meanwhile, at the C2C website, we told you about mysterious individuals spotted entering and exiting the New York City sewer system like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a 'shapeshifting' UFO seen in England, and a bizarre chicken nugget stunt that got a man banned from Six Flags. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.

Crop circles took center stage on Wednesday night's program with author Simeon Hein, who detailed his extensive research into the mysterious formations. In contrast to the binary view of the phenomenon wherein these designs are either crafted by humans or otherworldly visitors, he argued that those two forces could actually be working in tandem, with people being used as unwitting instruments to craft the curious and often complex drawings. To that end, he shared several instances of high strangeness, such as UFO sightings and cattle mutilations, seemingly connected to the phenomenon. Joining the conversation was former UFO researcher turned circle maker Matt Williams, who recalled unusual events that he personally witnessed while making the formations.

Strange sights that bewildered Britons made headlines on two separate occasions this past week. First, a man and his mother were left scratching their heads when they noticed what initially appeared to be a shapeshifting UFO that later revealed itself to be three seemingly connected odd objects that moved through the sky over their back garden. While some suggested the anomalies were alien, skeptics posited that they were probably balloons. Later in the week, passengers aboard a British sightseeing boat could not believe their eyes when they spotted an eerie optical illusion, known as Fata Morgana, that is believed to be responsible for legendary accounts of 'ghost ships' or otherworldly castles floating over the sea.

On what would have been her 100th birthday, the life, legacy, and mysterious death of Marilyn Monroe were revisited on Monday night's program by investigative historian Steve Ubaney. He pointed to numerous peculiar details surrounding the iconic actress's passing, including inconsistent timelines offered by key witnesses, that led him to conclude that she had been murdered. As for why Monroe may have been killed, he noted that her close relationships with various mobsters and politicians, such as JFK and Robert F. Kennedy, likely made her a liability to these powerful forces. During his appearance, Ubaney also recounted Monroe's troubled early life and the famous tale of her being discovered while working at a WWII airplane factory.

Also capturing our attention this past week were two rather curious cases centered around mysterious individuals seemingly up to no good. In New York City, authorities indicated that they were investigating a series of incidents in which groups of people were seen entering and exiting the sewer system through manholes. The proverbial urban spelunkers are thought to be looking for any valuables that might have slipped down the drains of residences throughout the city. Meanwhile, in Massachusetts, a motorist captured creepy footage of a masked individual dressed as a construction worker who emerged from a wooded area beside the road and stood in front of their car, seemingly trying to stop the vehicle, which smartly swerved to avoid the wandering weirdo.

Mediumship was a hot topic of conversation this past week on Coast to Coast AM with two separate programs featuring gifted guests sharing insights on their unique abilities. First, on Sunday night's program, spiritual teacher Suzanne Giesemann talked about her communications with the spirit realm, which come to her in the form of symbolic imagery, and her evidence-based approach to receiving messages from the 'other side.' Then, on Thursday night's show, medium Erika Gabriel discussed the spirit world and the entities that reside therein, including angels, departed loved ones, our ancestors, and even animals. She also offered insight on how to protect against sinister forces and the true nature of heaven and hell.

A pair of particularly weird stories involving people getting into trouble because of food popped up in the news this past week, beginning with a content creator who was banned from Six Flags after he tried to eat 10 chicken nuggets while riding a roller coaster. Social media star Allen Ferrell attempted the odd stunt after being challenged by a fan and, of course, posted video of the shenanigans online. The footage caught the attention of Six Flags' parent company, which promptly banned the young man from all of their amusement parks for the flagrant violation of their safety policy. Meanwhile, a South Carolina cop lost his job after he allegedly pulled his service gun on a colleague who made the egregious mistake of microwaving fish at their police station.
