Alien abductees being taken by the military, Wright-Patterson's infamous Hangar 18, and near-death experiences were among the fascinating topics explored this past week on Coast to Coast AM. Meanwhile, at the C2C website, we told you about an alleged Bigfoot video from Colorado, a triangular UFO filmed over Toronto, and a ne'er-do-well who keeps dumping cooking grease on the front door of an Ohio antique mall. Check out our round-up of highlights from the past week ... In Coast You Missed It.
The transformative nature of near-death experiences took center stage on Monday night's program as author Peter Panagore reflected on how his visit to the 'other side' changed his life. He described the heavenly realm as consisting of an array of strata wherein one feels like an overwhelming sense of love envelops them. During this journey through the different dimensions and layers of the 'other side,' he recalled experiencing a fusion with the divine that was "beyond my capacity to grasp." Seeing a life review as well as a glimpse of how things could unfold should he not die, Panagore mused that the experience profoundly altered his relationships, specifically with his family members.
Bigfoot was back in the news in a fittingly big way this past week when a Colorado raft tour company released a video of what they claimed was a Sasquatch sighting captured by their guides. The tantalizing footage of a hairy bipedal figure lurking behind some bushes on a hillside near the Colorado River sparked worldwide headlines and considerable speculation as to the veracity of the strange sighting. The remarkable clarity of the footage caused some to believe it could have been a genuine glimpse of the elusive cryptid. More skeptical observers, however, posited that the scene was too good to be true and, as such, likely a clever and wildly successful publicity stunt from the tour company.
The mysterious Hangar 18 at Ohio's Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has long captivated UFO researchers as many believe it houses evidence of otherworldly visitors. On Saturday night's program, documentarian Josh Reeves discussed his latest film which explores the site that has become a fixture in flying saucer folklore. He noted compelling claims of the Roswell wreckage allegedly being stored in Hangar 18 and an apocryphal tale wherein President Nixon secretly brought actor and UFO buff Jackie Gleason to the site. Reeves also speculated on the nature of extraterrestrials and the possibility that they are remnants of an ancient civilization that once lived on this planet.
Three peculiar UFO videos popped up on our radar this past week, beginning with some interesting footage from Ohio where a man filmed a pulsating orb that passed over his mother's house. Leaving the witness scratching his head, the anomalous object appeared to rapidly change colors as it crossed the sky for approximately one minute before vanishing from sight. Later in the week, a group of friends in Toronto were mystified when they spotted a triangular UFO hovering over the Canadian city. Finally, in Utah, a father and son were left scratching their heads when an odd silver orb cruised through the sky over their backyard.
Is there a clandestine military program in which alien abductees are taken and studied? This chilling scenario was explored on Sunday night's program as Nadine Lalich detailed her experiences with what has come to be known as MILABs (military abductions). An alien abductee, she recounted being kidnapped by military personnel who took her to an underwater base via a transmedium craft resembling a helicopter. At the site, she said, she was questioned about her ET experiences and subjected to a variety of medical examinations. During her appearance, Lalich also shared insights from her alien abduction experiences including an unsettling holographic demonstration of mind-control technology possessed by the beings.
This past week featured a pair of stories involving rather unusual criminals up to no good. First, in Ohio, an antique mall took to social media asking the public for help in identifying a miscreant who has repeatedly doused their front door with cooking grease. Understandably expressing consternation over the messy acts of vandalism, staff at the shop were mystified as to who could be behind the bizarre incidents and why they were specifically being targeted. Meanwhile, in Australia, a school security camera captured footage of a burglar who busted out an elaborate minute-long dance before he broke into a school and stole thousands of dollars worth of electronic equipment.
