The 57th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing was celebrated on Monday night's program with space historian Robert Zubrin. Marveling at the incredible nature of the feat, he expressed frustration that NASA's post-Apollo plans for lunar bases and manned Mars missions were scuppered by the Nixon administration. He likened the current era of private space ventures to the time of Apollo, suggesting that it will ultimately lead to humans touching down on the Red Planet at some point in the future when the possibility becomes more feasible. Envisioning such a scenario, Zubrin shared his idea of how a Martian expedition might technically unfold.
A trio of peculiar videos showing possible ghostly activity made headlines this past week. First, the home security system at a North Dakota residence captured an eerie orb languidly floating through a room. While some might dismiss the anomaly as merely a fleck of dust, what made the family wonder about its nature was the timing of the event: just a few hours after the funeral of their grandfather. Meanwhile, at a cemetery in Ecuador, workers were similarly suspicious when a pool of water in front of a crypt suddenly began swirling and thrashing as if it were being manipulated by an unseen force. Finally, in Chile, a truck driver captured dash cam footage of what he believes was the ghost of a woman standing on the side of a highway in the middle of the night.
An alleged 1941 UFO crash in Cape Girardeau, Missouri was explored on Sunday night's program as author Paul Blake Smith detailed his research into the compelling case that preceded Roswell by six years. Asserting that the military managed to keep newspapers from reporting about the wondrous event at the time, he recalled the testimony of a reverend who claimed he had been called to the scene shortly after the incident occurred. The rather credible eyewitness reported seeing a downed disc-shaped object and three diminutive beings that had been pulled from the craft. Chillingly, the reverend revealed that two of the suspected ETs died in the crash, but one managed to briefly survive before perishing in his presence.
A Massachusetts man made headlines this past week in a particularly weird way when he was arrested for harassing women while wandering along a walking trail dressed as an old-timey mime. The bizarre character had been a presence at the park for the last two months, being seen by several witnesses who encountered the costume-clad individual. When the weirdo became the talk of local social media, many simply hoped the man was a colorful eccentric until cops arrested him over the weekend. At an arraignment on Monday, it was explained that multiple women had reported the mime for harassing them, specifically following them and staring them down with a creepy smile described as "frankly terrifying."
Remote viewing was in the spotlight on Wednesday night's show as Joe McMoneagle returned to the program to discuss his work with the U.S. Army's Stargate program, which aimed to develop intelligence gathering using psychic abilities. While the project was initially conceived as a means of determining if the Soviets were making similar efforts, he noted that it remained active for over two decades due to its tremendous success. To that end, he recounted being tasked with psychically monitoring hostages in Iran and inadvertently picking up on details surrounding their planned rescue. During his appearances, McMoneagle also recalled remote viewing Mars and seeing a mysterious metallic shelter measuring 33 feet long and around 12 feet tall.
By far the most bizarre story of the week came from Kenya, where a community has been menaced by a miscreant who robs people and, should they resist handing over their valuables, bites them until they give up the goods. Understandably alarmed by the toothy troublemaker's reign of terror, residents of the village have taken to calling the ne'er-do-well 'the vampire,' refusing to leave their home out of fear that they might encounter him. The already odd case took a curious turn towards the end of the week, when another individual biting random people was captured in a community nearly three hours away. The puzzling apprehension left many wondering if the two men were one and the same or if there were two 'vampires' on the prowl in Kenya.
