In a town in Kazakhstan, officials are conducting an evacuation because of a mysterious illness that causes residents to fall asleep at random! Meanwhile, a "doomsday vault" in an Arctic archipelago has accepted its first delivery of forest tree species seeds-- the depository opened in 2008, and is designed to withstand all cataclysms. And lastly, the folks at Motherboard wonder if something is amiss with our Sun-- latest research has shown some odd discrepancies.
