Indian Village Tormented by 'Sinister Spirit'

By Tim Binnall

Panic has gripped a village in India due to a series of strange events that have left residents believing that some kind of sinister spirit is lurking in their community. The weird case reportedly began earlier this month when the remnants of a mysterious ritual were found in the town of Kandrakota and, shortly thereafter, a slaughtered goat was discovered. The two odd events understandably unnerved residents and their uneasiness was quickly exacerbated by the sighting of a peculiar entity in the middle of the night.

Answering a knock at their door, a villager claims that they observed "a black figure with long hair and big feet" that "jumped from a tree and vanished." As one might imagine, word of the weird entity quickly spread throughout the community and led to concerned residents taking up arms at night to guard against the eerie interloper. Reports of "strange noises and screams" subsequently swept through the community as well, leading to something of a hysteria erupting in Kandrakota.

As of now, residents have not come to a consensus as to what is behind the spate of unsettling events, instead simply opting to describe their tormentor as merely an "evil force." Be that as it may, their belief in this menacing presence has left many terrified and unable to sleep at night. Concerned over what they consider to be superstition run amok, local authorities have descended upon the village in the hopes of convincing residents that a supernatural entity is not plaguing the community.
