A Connecticut man is in considerable trouble with the law after he allegedly chased after some kids while wearing a 'Scream' mask and wielding a rather menacing-looking knife. The unsettling incident occurred Monday evening in the city of New London. Detailing the bizarre bust in a press release, the community's police department explained that it began when someone called 911 about the menacing miscreant "chasing juveniles" before fleeing into a forest.
When cops arrived on the scene, witnesses corroborated that account, telling officers that they observed the masked man "waving a knife above his head and, at one point, acting as if he was stabbing the ground." Police promptly sealed the perimeter and searched for the troublemaker both on foot and with a drone. Cops eventually caught up with the suspect, Zakai Marshall, who had both the mask and the knife in his possession. While one hopes that the incident was merely a misguided prank, the weapon-wielding shenanigans resulted in him being arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including trespassing and carrying a dangerous weapon.
