A recent suspected Sasquatch sighting in Michigan has inspired one of the state's cannabis dispensaries to offer a special deal to any customer who can produce a photograph of the elusive cryptid. The late May report of a father and son possibly encountering Bigfoot spawned worldwide headlines last month. Since then, the city of Monroe, where the incident occurred, has been buzzing about the community's unexpected moment in the cryptozoological sun. "I've heard a lot of talk about it," longtime resident Bobb Vergiels marveled to a local TV station, "in fact, when I first heard about it, I was in Baltimore, Maryland, and I heard about it there, and I said, 'Oh my gosh, I leave home for a week and look what happened.'"
Excitement over the possible Bigfoot sighting in Monroe has even extended to a local cannabis dispensary, which responded to the proverbial Yetimania by offering customers a free joint if they can manage to snap a photo of the city's resident Sasquatch. Interestingly, it would appear that the May incident is not the first time that a curious creature has been seen in the community. "There was what was called the Monroe Monster years ago," Vergiels recalled, "someone saw a big creature out near the Fermi power plant, and so, I think it’s really funny that this was spotted near where that was. Although they didn’t really say where the location was, but it’s near where the Monroe Monster was seen way back in the 1960s."
