A now-former driving instructor in Colorado is looking for a new job after a mortifying mishap wherein their car crashed into the front of the building. The strange incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday morning at the Community Driving School in the city of Lakewood. Arriving at work for just their second day on the job, the unnamed instructor pulled into the parking lot and seemingly stepped on the gas rather than hitting the breaks, sending their car careening through the front window of the business which happened to be beneath a sign beckoning prospective customers to "learn to drive."
Fortunately, nearly everyone in the building who were in harm's way managed to avoid being struck by the vehicle by diving to safety and only one person wound up suffering minor injuries. The newly hired driving instructor was not so lucky as they were cited for a traffic violation and the owner of the school indicated that they are no longer with the company. It is uncertain if they were fired or if they knew they could never live down the embarrassing accident and simply quit the job. Regardless of how exactly their brief stint as a driving instructor came to an end, the incredibly ironic image of their car lodged in the building beneath the words 'learn to drive' will undoubtedly live forever as an internet meme.
