Multiple Witnesses Report Seeing Big Cat Roaming Around Near British Village

Authorities in England were forced to issue a statement after multiple witnesses reported seeing a big cat roaming around near a village. According to a local media report, the sightings have been unfolding over the past week in the community of Binley Woods. The fleeting appearances by the creature have become so plentiful that people in the village have amusingly taken to calling the feline interloper 'Catfoot' in a nod to the legendarily elusive cryptid of North American fame.

Addressing the spate of sightings, the local police department for Binley Woods issued a statement indicating that "residents have reported that they have seen 'Catfoot' numerous times during the late evenings whilst taking a walk." They noted that the creature "has remained in the distance and appeared to be a large dark colored animal of the feline variety." Upon being spotted, the department said, the big cat "quickly darted off into the riparian environment."

The seemingly out-of-place animal, they wrote, "has now been seen by multiple eyewitnesses and then reported to officers whilst on patrol, although we advise them each time to report this to the British Big Cat Society." The department understandably requested that residents "refrain from approaching" Catfoot, should they encounter the creature, and also encouraged any witnesses to document their sighting with photo or video evidence along with "details about the time and location" of the incident so that wildlife groups might possibly track the animal's travels.
