Mysterious Stone Showers Torment Indian Village

By Tim Binnall

Residents of an Indian village fear leaving their houses at night due to mysterious stone showers that have been raining down on the tops of homes for days. According to a local media report, the bizarre case began last week in the community of Appajipeta when the roofs of multiple residences were struck by rocks inexplicably falling from the sky, with worrisome 'downpours' occurring at around 10 PM each evening. The peculiar pelting became so problematic that residents turned to police in the hopes of catching the individuals responsible or, at the very least, putting a stop to the situation.

Eerily, despite four officers being dispatched to the village for an overnight patrol and the presence of 20 young people joining the posse, the stones still inexplicably fell upon the homes in Appajipeta that evening. As one might imagine, the failure to find the perpetrator has left the community on edge, with many residents refusing to venture outside after dark out of fear that they may get struck by one of the puzzling projectiles. The case in Appajipeta bears a striking resemblance to a similar story from earlier this year in which the Indian village of Hathinapur was also troubled by mysterious stone showers, and the source of the falling rocks was seemingly never found.
