NBA Star Expresses Doubt About Moon Landing

By Tim Binnall

NBA star Derrick White raised eyebrows when, during a recent episode of his podcast, the Boston Celtics guard expressed doubt about the moon landing. The odd moment occurred on Monday's edition of the White Noise Podcast as he and his co-host, Alex Welsh, were discussing conspiracy theories. While rejecting the label 'conspiracy theorist,' White conceded that "I do think they are very interesting. And you know I like to argue, so it kind of makes sense that I'm into things like this."

This led to White recounting a time when head coach Joe Mazzulla asked him, "do you believe we landed on the moon?" In response, the Celtics star mused to Welsh, "I don't think we did. I'm a non-moon landing guy. We probably did, but I don't think we did. I don't know." Remarkably, White is not the first NBA player to make headlines for doubting the moon landing. Back in late 2018, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry now-infamously backed the conspiracy theory, which resulted in a scolding from President Obama and an invite to the Johnson Space Center from NASA.
