Odd Anomaly Spotted Emerging from Loch Ness

An American man visiting Loch Ness was stunned to discover that he had inadvertently captured footage an odd anomaly emerging from the water. The intriguing 'monster' sighting reportedly occurred on May 18th as Nickolas Weigand was riding a tour bus along the shore of the famed Scottish site. "At the time of the filming," he recalled, "we were driving at a pretty fast rate down the roadway directly next to Loch Ness." Due to time constraints from the tour, Weigand was unable to look at his video until later in the day, which was when he noticed something extraordinary.

"After careful review of the footage, I discovered something mysterious and unknown deep in the water, quite far away from shore," the tourist explained. As visible in a screen capture from the video (highlighted below), Weigand noted that "you can clearly see a dark image of something breaking the water surface as we drove by." Based on the location of the bus when he filmed the footage and "using road signs on shore" for comparison, the traveler estimated that the peculiar anomaly was "relatively large."

Upon realizing what he had filmed, Weigand shared the striking visual evidence with the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register. The rather stringent organization subsequently recognized the case as the 5th on-site Nessie report of 2026. Remarkably, the tally for the year is now just one sighting shy of the total number for 2025, with seven more months and this coming weekend's massive Quest search at Loch Ness still to unfold. As such, it would appear that 2026 is ultimately going to wind up being a banner year for Nessie sightings.
