A family in Oklahoma recently spotted a curious-looking creature that they are certain was a Sasquatch. The intriguing sighting, which they reported to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO), occurred this past Tuesday evening as Katy Gibson, her husband, and adult stepson were driving near the Washita River in the town of Silo. To the astonishment of the family, as they went over a hill, the three of them noticed an out-of-place figure walking along a power line easement across the river and stopping when it seemingly saw their vehicle, which was approximately 1,500 feet away.
"I got out of the truck, and when he stood up and went towards the woods, I was shaking and knew what I was seeing," Gibson recalled, indicating that she "hollered as loud as I could to get his attention." It would appear that the two briefly made eye contact before the bipedal creature continued onward, vanishing into the forest. According to her recollection, the figure stood 7 to 8 feet tall and sported "dark brown hair that had a red tint or glow in the sunlight." Lest one have any doubt about what the family believes they saw, Gibson marveled, "without a doubt, it was a Bigfoot."
Alas, the remarkable sighting lasted only for approximately 15 seconds, depriving the family of the opportunity to photograph or film the creature, which understandably had them spellbound. Nonetheless, with three adult witnesses reporting the suspected Sasquatch, the case has been deemed highly credible by BFRO founder Matthew Moneymaker, who spoke with two of the family members and concluded that "this report is legit."
