Ouija Board Helps Crack Alleged Vehicle Prowling Case in Washington State

By Tim Binnall

An alleged vehicle prowler in Washington State has likely become a believer in the idea that Ouija boards are bad luck after one of the divination devices led to her arrest. Detailing the bizarre bust on social media, the Moses Lake Police Department indicated that it occurred this past Friday afternoon after a resident reported that someone had broken into their car and made off with multiple items. Specifically stolen were the stereo, which was "ripped from the dashboard," house keys, and some prescription medication. Additionally, the sticky-fingered ne'er-do-well took a Ouija board that ultimately proved to be her undoing.

The department recalled that the peculiar item immediately caught the attention of one of their officers, who had encountered a woman toting a version of the infamous divination device earlier in the day. "At the time, he had no reason to believe it was not hers," they explained, but the commendably observant cop "noted it as unusual." After the call about the car break-in was received, the officer "put two and two together and was able to re-locate the female." Searching the suspect, cops found the Ouija board in question and all of the other pilfered items from the vehicle, leading to her arrest on several charges.
