Over Twenty Bags of Dead Animals Discovered Near Apartment Complex in Georgia

Authorities in Georgia have a rather gruesome mystery on their hands following the discovery of nearly two dozen bags of dead animals dumped near an apartment complex and, chillingly, some of the creatures had been decapitated. According to a local media report, the nightmarish case came to light earlier this week in the city of Athens when a resident was walking their dog and stumbled upon a garbage bag sporting an animal's leg sticking out of it. Understandably troubled by the horrifying find, they promptly reported the discovery to police, who descended upon the scene to investigate and soon realized that they were dealing with something akin to what one might see in a horror film.

Officers searching the area first found a spot where someone had left behind five black trash bags containing what appeared to be chicken bones and the remains of an unknown mammal. However, this was only the start of the strangeness as police subsequently found a second location where a staggering 13 garbage bags and five sizeable paper bags had also been dumped. Their contents included the remains of various animals, including chickens, pigeons, goats, and a pig. Many of the unfortunate creatures found at the second site had actually been decapitated with their heads tossed into the bags for good measure.

Residents of the apartment complex and people living in the surrounding area are understandably concerned about the unsettling discovery with some wondering if the bags were left behind by a budding serial killer who has only just started their dastardly life of crime and is working their way towards targeting humans. Others have suggested that the animals may have been sacrificed as part of some kind of religious ritual. As one might imagine, authorities are keen to get the bottom of the matter and have launched an investigation into the unnerving dumping ground.
