A pair of Seattle teenagers found themselves in trouble with the law after they donned creepy clown masks and menaced some strangers in what they later claimed was merely a misguided prank. The strange incident reportedly came to light early Monday morning when two women told patrol officers about a weird encounter they had the previous evening. The witnesses explained that they were approached by two men in clown masks, one of whom appeared to be brandishing a gun. Understandably frightened by the seemingly armed harlequins, the victims smartly fled the scene before dutifully reporting their chilling experience to the cops.
Suggesting that these were some incredibly unlucky clowns, as officers were taking down the report, they spotted a vehicle described by the witnesses as being that of the suspects. While speaking to the occupants of the car, cops are said to have observed "extended gun magazines" and the unsettling masks allegedly worn by the duo. Realizing that they had been caught clown-handed, so to speak, the older of the two teens told police that the incident was just a prank that had gone wildly awry and even went so far as to show a video of the incident in question. Unfortunately for the young men, officers opted not to let them off with a slap on the wrist and, instead, arrested the pair for possible felony harassment.
