A pair of friends in South Carolina say they spotted a possible Sasquatch near a church parking lot. The two-person sighting, reported to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO), occurred on May 29th at around 11:30 PM as witnesses Chris and Ethan were passing through the city of Inman. As they went over the crest of a hill, the duo were stunned when their car's headlights illuminated an inordinately large and unusual-looking figure standing on a strip of grass on the edge of the "south entrance of the parking lot for the Ukranian/Russian "Way of Truth" Evangelical Christian church," which is situated near a large patch of woods, where it fled to after being seen.
Speaking to a BFRO investigator after sharing their sighting, Chris "described the figure as having a distinctly human-like shape and estimated that it stood well over seven feet tall with an exceptionally broad build." Meanwhile, Ethan echoed his friend's description of the creature's size, which he likened to "a horse standing on its hind leg," and observed that it "appeared very dark in color and seemed to be covered in hair." For his part, Chris initially suspected that they were seeing a bear, but dismissed that theory because of the fluid manner in which the animal moved when it dashed back into the woods.
Alas, like a remarkably similar case from a Texas motorist that made headlines last week, the vehicular sighting provided the pair of friends with only a brief glimpse of the suspected Sasquatch. However, they both agreed that what they had briefly encountered that night may have been Bigfoot, as they have no other explanation for what the creature could have been. Given the figure's presence outside a church, one cannot necessarily rule out the possibility that it could have actually been a demon or some other supernatural being, which is no less a fantastic scenario than Sasquatch.
