A goat subjected to a symbolic sacrifice in India was seemingly blessed from above as it somehow emerged from a deadly car crash completely unscathed. According to a local media report, the eerie incident occurred last week near the city of Jabalpur as an SUV containing six family members was heading home from a ceremony at a nearby temple. Also in the vehicle was a goat that had just served as the centerpiece of a symbolic sacrifice ritual wherein its ear had been severed.
As the SUV cruised down the road, it suddenly careened over a bridge and plummeted onto a dry river bed. Sadly, four of the passengers perished in the crash, while the remaining two required hospitalization for serious injuries sustained in the accident. Meanwhile, to the astonishment of first responders who arrived on the scene, the one-eared goat came out of the accident no worse for wear despite the vehicle being a mangled wreck. As one might imagine, some have ascribed the creature's curious condition to divine intervention with many calling its survival a genuine miracle.
