A Spanish couple says that their lives have been plagued by what appears to be paranormal activity, including the presence of a shadow figure, in their home. According to a local media report, the curious case started earlier this year when the experiencers, identified as Laura and José, began hearing unusual sounds around the residence in the community of Huelva. Though they initially assumed the peculiar noises had a prosaic explanation, such as "pipes or neighbors," the couple revisited that assessment when things took an unsettling turn.
Regularly during the wee hours of the morning, specifically between 3 and 4 AM, Laura explained, "steps were heard inside the house, like someone walked down the hall." Confirming his wife's experience, José recalled one particular instance wherein he was roused from his sleep by the sound of someone "dragging something in the living room." However, when he turned on the lights to investigate, "there was nothing out of place" in the home. The couple's concerns reached a crescendo when Laura observed what can only be described as a 'shadow person' moving around the apartment.
Understandably uneasy about what has been unfolding in their home, the duo enlisted a local paranormal research group to get to the bottom of the possible haunting. Following their investigation of the residence, team member Miguel Morales cautioned against jumping to conclusions, but revealed that "we have detected thermal variations in certain areas of the house and sound records that do not correspond to identifiable sources." As the researchers continue their work, the couple is forced to coexist with the perceived paranormal presence, much to their chagrin. "We try to live a normal life, but there are nights when it’s hard to sleep," José mused, echoed by Laura, who lamented, "we don’t want to think about strange things, we just want to know what’s going on."
