Star's 'Alien Megastructure' May Just Be Comets

New findings from NASA about the star KIC 8462852 suggest that its mysterious dimming effect is likely caused by a swarm of comets rather than any kind of "alien megastructure." The hypothesized comets could be on a long, eccentric orbit and their dusty fragments may block the light of the star at different intervals, NASA explained. More here.
