Study Determines States With Most & Least Interest in Flat Earth Theory

By Tim Binnall

A weird new study has determined which American states are the most and least interested in the infamous Flat Earth theory. Produced by the gambling website Bet Kentucky, the odd project looked at how frequently people in each of the 50 states googled various terms associated with the controversial conspiracy theory over the course of a year. They then took that data and compared it to population size of each state in order to formulate a ranking system.

Earning the dubious honor of being the state most curious about the Flat Earth was Alaska, which boasted a whopping 314 Google searches for every 10,000 people. Rounding out the top five were Colorado, Wyoming, Washington, and Hawaii. As for the states with the least amount of interest in the Flat Earth, New Jersey took the title with a mere 178 searches for every 10,000 residents. Similarly skeptical states which comprised the bottom five of the list were Mississippi, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Virginia.
