A Texas motorist cruising down a highway in the middle of the night caught a clear look at what he says was a Sasquatch that briefly appeared on the side of the road. The remarkable sighting, reported to the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, occurred last Friday at 1:20 AM in Upshur County in the eastern part of the state. According to witness Dustin Dean, he was driving along a two-lane highway with "dense woods on either side" when the suspected Sasquatch suddenly stepped out of the forest, seemingly about to cross the road. "I had my bright lights on," he recalled, "and I saw it clear as day."
Dean estimated that the bipedal creature stood 7 to 8 feet tall with a chest that was around 3 to 4 feet wide. Realizing it had been spotted, the monstrous figure abandoned its plans to cross the road and slipped back into the woods. However, in that brief moment before it disappeared, Dean was able to discern quite a few details about its appearance. To that end, he observed that the creature's "hair was matted with a brownish-red" coloring. With the possible Bigfoot largely keeping its eyes on Dean's oncoming vehicle as it made its retreat, the witness marveled that "I got such a good look at its face that I can still see it."
Noting that the visage "was not like you see in pictures," he explained that it was "elongated, not round" and sported an ape-like nose along with a mouth that more resembled that of a human. Although devoid of hair, Dean said the face was framed by fur "that looked more like a mane." In an amusing and somewhat maddening sign of the times, Dean indicated that he was actually not alone when the sighting occurred, as his wife was riding shotgun during the drive. However, she missed the once-in-a-lifetime chance to possibly see Bigfoot because she was "looking down at her phone" when the suspected Sasquatch briefly popped out of the woods.
