A UFO summoning event in Arizona resulted in a close encounter with the cops after neighbors called police about the throngs of would-be contactees walking through a private golf course. According to a local media report, the weird incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, July 18th, in the city of Sedona. Announced weeks earlier by resident and 'galactic ambassador' Ismael Perez, the event was intended to facilitate extraterrestrial contact with beings from the Pleiades. In a testament to the power of belief, a staggering 150 to 200 people descended upon a local park for the summoning, which went wildly awry when organizers hastily announced a venue change.
Shortly after the event began, participants were informed that they needed to relocate to a spot approximately a half mile away. Grabbing their lawn chairs, flashlights, and crystals, the sizeable crowd slowly made the trek by foot through the neighboring Oakcreek Country Club. Heather Risk, the facility's head golf professional, recounted getting a call from a surprised employee who encountered the strange parade. "He said, 'there's like 150 people on the No. 1 fairway,'" she recalled, marveling that the bizarre incident was unlike anything she had experienced in her 16 years working at the course.
Before the country club could contact police about the situation, cops were already made aware of the matter thanks to neighbors irritated by the influx of UFO enthusiasts passing through the area. "The crowd kept growing as the evening went on,” said resident Tom White, "within an hour of that first time I went out, there were over 200 people. They just kept coming and coming, coming down the cart path." Deputies from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office eventually arrived on the scene, clearing the crowd from the golf course and sending them off to contact the Pleiadians at a place where they were presumably more welcome to gather.
