Several Milwaukee residents were left scratching their heads earlier this week after hearing a bizarre mystery sound that no one can identify or quite describe. According to a local media report, the baffling noise (captured in the video above) confounded multiple people throughout the south side of the city on Monday evening. "It doesn't sound like a siren. It's not a train. It's not a tornado. Nothing like that," explained resident Brandon Kitts, who jokingly mused, "I don't believe in aliens like that, but also it's like anything's possible, right?" Strangely, rather than being a singular event, the noise was said to have been heard sporadically over the course of around two hours.
Kitts' confusion over the sound was echoed by another aural witness, John Martinez, who noted that the commotion was particularly disturbing to his pets. "I had my cats out, and they just started freaking out. They were jumping around, going in the bushes, so I turned around and let them in the house," he recalled, "I heard the sound like it was going around, like bouncing off the houses and stuff. It was just real weird." Not unlike similar cases of mystery sounds, local authorities indicated that no one contacted them about the eerie incident when it happened and had no answers as to what could have caused it, leaving residents to wonder what exactly they heard on Monday evening.
