Video: Colorado Woman Mystified as St. Michael Statue Suddenly Begins 'Bleeding'

A woman in Colorado believes that she may have been witness to something miraculous after a St. Michael statue in her home suddenly and inexplicably began bleeding from its forehead. The curious case reportedly began on the evening of February 23rd in the Denver suburb of Broomfield as Alicia Martinez was talking to a friend on the phone and her roommate frantically alerted her to something weird happening in the residence. Upon cutting her call short and going to find out what all the fuss was about, she was stunned to see that a peculiar liquid substance resembling blood was trickling down the face of her statue of St. Michael the Archangel subduing the devil.

"It was dripping like when you cut yourself and the blood drips out," Martinez recalled, explaining that "he's not crying, he's bleeding from the forehead." Understandably uncertain as to what to make of the wondrous sight, she mused that "it didn't feel like it was something bad. It was an inexplicable sensation, but it was beautiful." Martinez later sought advice on the matter from a friend who is a priest and she was informed that the incident was a "marvelous" occurrence that meant her house is blessed. When she subsequently talked to a religious sister about the statue, it was conveyed to her that the strangeness would stop when the 'blood' reached the head of the devil situated beneath the foot of St. Michael.

Amazingly, Martinez says that is precisely what happened as the 'bleeding' continued for approximately one week until the substance had flowed all the way down to the bottom of the 30-inch-tall statue where the face of the 'prince of darkness' is situated. While all this was unfolding in her home, the bewildered woman captured video of the odd occurrence and posted it to social media, however she quickly removed the footage after several people accused her of trying to orchestrate a hoax. Pushing back against those assertions, Martinez declared that "this is not fraud. This is not to become famous. None of that. I know it's something divine from God that doesn't happen to everyone."
