A father and son in Australia were left scratching their heads when they spotted a trio of mystifying UFOs in the night sky, and it would seem that the pair's sighting was part of a puzzling flap currently unfolding in a particular region of the country. According to a local media report, Shane Plane and his son, Brad, caught sight of and later filmed (seen below) some unusual lights in the sky on September 10th while driving along a road in the coastal city of Geraldton. "I said to Brad, 'See that star up there? It's not looking right," the father recounted, indicating that the curious pair decided to "cruise down to the beach" to observe the aerial anomalies better.
When they arrived, the duo could not believe their eyes as they watched the three bright lights mysteriously maneuvering in the sky. Initially, Brad recalled, the UFOs were in a triangular formation, but soon became a pair when one of the orbs "started to travel up and slowed near where the higher one was." While Brad observed that the curious illuminations looked like flares, he argued that such incendiary devices "can't move in that formation and hang around for over half an hour." Shane was equally skeptical of a prosaic explanation, such as an aircraft or a weather balloon. Though he did not outright say he suspected the UFOs were alien, he also did not dismiss the possibility out of hand, wondering, "could it be?"
Sharing that sense of bewilderment is Matt Woods of the Perth Observatory, who revealed they have recently received similar UFO reports from multiple people throughout the Midwest and coastal areas of Western Australia. Rattling off an array of localities where sightings have occurred over the past few weeks, he marveled that the situation is "very, very confusing." Having eliminated air traffic as a possibility, he speculated that the UFOs might be "something being tested" or a "company trialing drones." That said, he ultimately conceded that the repeatedly reported anomalies constitute a genuine mystery, musing "it's going to be interesting to see what it winds up being, if we do find out what it is."
