Video: First UK Crop Circle of 2023 Found

By Tim Binnall

The 2023 crop circle season is officially underway in the UK as the first formation of the year has been found by researchers. The peculiar design (showcased in a drone video featured above) was reportedly discovered this past Sunday in the village of Broad Hinton, which is located in the county of Wiltshire. Consisting of six blade-like shapes extending outward from a circle at its center, some have suggested that the formation is meant to be a "solar symbol," while others have likened it to a fan or the motor of a boat.

In keeping with the mysterious nature of the phenomenon, it is uncertain who or what may have created the design. That said, while its origins are up for debate, its appearance likely serves as something of a relief to crop circle enthusiasts after all of April and nearly the entire month of May passed without a single formation being discovered, making this the latest start to the season in several years. Be that as it may, with the first design of 2023 now in the books, there will undoubtedly be many more formations to follow in the weeks and months to come as crop circle makers get to work turning unfortunate farmers' fields into their canvas.
