Video: Game Camera Photographs Bizarre 'Mystery Creature' in Mexico

A prominent Mexican ufologist has unveiled a jaw-dropping photo of a bizarre-looking mystery creature that, he suggested, could be an otherworldly predator. The intriguing image (featured in the video above) was reportedly snapped earlier this month in the country's Valley of Juárez region. At a press conference on Saturday, a team of researchers affiliated with longtime UFO researcher Jaime Maussan revealed the photo and detailed the curious case, explaining that it was captured by a game camera they placed in an area where a witness allegedly spotted the unusual animal snatch a chicken and then scurry up a tree.

The group indicated that the seemingly hairless creature is believed to measure approximately six feet long, with its prodigious tail accounting for half that length. The researchers also asserted that wildlife experts enlisted to examine the image determined that the animal did not resemble any native wildlife from the region and could be a monstrous mutation. Known for having a flair for the dramatic, Maussan mused to the Mexican media, "Why did it appear there? It’s a mystery. Are they interdimensional beings? Are they beings who came with other beings? Did they come in ships?" Theorizing that the eerie interloper is bipedal and predatory, he marveled that "its intelligence and agility are truly frightening."

That said, he stressed that "I don't believe it attacks people, but it is affecting the interests of those who live in the so-called Juárez Valley." To that end, the ufologist claimed that people living in the region are deeply concerned about the potential presence of the peculiar creature seen in the photo. While their fears are understandable, worried residents should recall Maussan's previous 'astonishing revelations,' such as purported alien bodies from Peru and the infamous 'Roswell Slide' case, that ultimately turned out to be far less fantastic than originally thought. Given that history, it would not be altogether surprising if the 'otherworldly predator' wound up being an out-of-place lizard.
